Is it me, or do the scenes when Eddie Furlong is stalking victims/ evading capture, it is fairly familiar to playing Manhunt on PS2? When the Trickster is whispering commands in his ear......

Yes I thought I recognized that too when I played Manhunt (on the XBox, same game though). And actually, playing Manhunt would be familiar to watching Brainscan, not the other way around. Brainscan was out 7 to 8 years earlier.
Just like song artists and other movies, video games often copy or imitate anything they can find, especially since originality is getting even more difficult.
They're is definately a connection, I think Brainscan really was ahead of it's time. This was BEFORE games like Manhunt among others, we you as the player, are subjected to murdering viciously. I think the movie was great, always a favorite, even more so these days , now that I'm older.
