Egoyan?

I couldn't help but feel that- with the presence of David Hemblen, a George S. Clinton 'Mychael Danna-style' score, the media commentary, Canadian locales, the ominously soothing atmosphere- John Flynn (a great director in his own right) was drawing some inspiration from the films of Atom Egoyan (THE ADJUSTER, EXOTICA, SPEAKING PARTS, FAMILY VIEWING). Ultimately, it feels kind of like Egoyan adapting, say, an R.L. Stine novel– and I love it!
