I may have figured out the ending

Could be way off, totally possible, but here's my take:

-The dog at the beginning is in one of Michael's dreams. The first scene after the dog with the foot in his mouth is Michael waking up. Brainscan the game has already started. He's already turned it on but it's made him forget through hypnosis and think he's just woken up and can't remember what happened right before. Like most of us he forgets his dream, this was their way of making him think he hadn't started the game yet.

I think the same scene with the dog happening at the end means the principal he gave the game disc to has started playing and is having the same dream because he started the game. Right before he also wakes up the day he starts playing brainscan, just like Michael.

What do you guys think? I'm pretty sure we're all just over analyzing and the director just thew in something for a possible sequel and messed up. Anyway, i've watched this movie a bunch of times and read all kinds of theories about it, figured i'd contribute one of my own finally...
