What's with Furlong's O-Face?

I've seen screencaps of this movie - Edward Furlong's sitting/lying in what looks like a dentist's chair... and it seriously looks like he is getting his rocks off. I'm just wondering what the deal is with that scene, because I'm pretty sure it isn't what it looks like.

Sorry if this annoys anyone, but I'm really curious, and I'm British - you can't get hold of the DVD in Britain for love nor money (and I know because I would be prepared to offer both love AND money).

Thanks in advance!

This movie sort of deals with something similar to virtual reality. It's difficult to explain unless I spoil the plot. But from your description, I guess it's a screencap from a scene involving Furlong's character testing this computer program, and his reaction comes from the intense experience the game gives him.

It's been a while since I saw the movie, but I think you are correct about it not being what it looks like. And the "dentist's chair" is probably his own. His bedroom is - for the time - very high-tech, with lots of computer equipment and a comfy chair.

I can't find the exact picture, but I've seen it. It's the scene right at the beginning where he calls and talks to the guy at Brainscan, and he gets 'jolted' - presumably he's being 'read' to find out what episode he will play.

The 'dentist chair' is actually a high tech gaming chair, designed for comfort while you sit on your ass for hours on end.. :)

I think it was weird. Michael gets jolted and then he is sweaty and has lipstick on. What's the point of showing us that?

he always looks like that. 1994 was when he started snorting cocaine.
