Finally got the DVD...

Well I finally have the DVD of this great movie after waiting what seems to be an age for its release!

It's very short on extras (as in, nothing!) but thankfully the movie has been given a superb transfer. If you like this movie then you owe it to yourself to finally throw your VHS copies in the garbage and get this DVD. Who knows? Maybe next year Paramount will give this film the Special Edition treatment with at least a Friedkin/Nolte commentary? Yeah I can dream, but it would be nice.

Its been a good year for sports movie fans what with the S.E. DVD of Hoosiers and now this.

Yes Roger I too picked up my copy of Blue Chips and watched it immediately. I almost was upset because my local Best Buy only had 2 COPIES of it on the day it came out. I couldn't believe it. They had to find it for me in the back because it hadn't been unpacked. Anyway, I'm with ya Roger, I loved this movie and it was exactly as I remembered.

i was at target today, and iwas looking at the new release section all of a sudden i saw BLUE CHIPS i was so happy i grabbed it and looked at it for over a minute i couldnt believe it was finally on dvd. Mine was only 10 bucks :)

got mine today at the local video store for 10 bucks...so happy to have this on DVD
