They filmed several parts of this film in my town. I believe it says in the screen "somewhere in southern Indiana" at that time he is driving past a white zig-zag fence. which is Castle Knoll Farms... anyone who ever drove through that section of SR 56 would know that Fence. it stretches over a mile on both sides... I was also an extra in the Parade Scene... & one other clip where Nick Nolte is driving & shows 2 kids playing Basketball on the side of a building.... Thats my neighbors house....

I remember the scene where the boys are playing basketball on the side of the bldg. and hearing that was in French Lick.
I'm down by Evansville so, I'm not too terribly far.
French Lick is a nice town... nasty smelling water, lol but, great wine ;) I'm am a white wine person... infact, I hate the taste of red wine. Well, I tried some French Lick red wine not too long ago and that was great stuff!!!
Okay so, I'm getting off of the subject...

the home basketball scenes were filmed in my high school gym in frankfort indiana....

I was at the filming of the final game against Indiana. My best friend's dad was the coach at Frankfort at the time and got us seats right behind Bob Knight and the Indiana team bench. They treated that game like a real basketball game right up until the end when they reshot the end so show the movies ending.

the gym is case arena and its home to the frankfort hot dogs, i myself don't go to that high school, but i goto one near there so we always play our sectionals in that gym
