When the newly elected mayor is chained to the bank vault, there is a bag of explosives there which lead to his death. Now, Blankman couldn't disarm them, but why not just grab them and throw them down that big hole the robbers just came out of and went back down in?

it was an elevator.. not just a hole, so maybe he couldn't get the elevator to go down?

i just saw this movie today and thought the same thing howevever i think i may have noticed cables coming out of the bag that seemed to be connected to the vault
