How in heaven's name did this avoid the bottom 100?

Robocop III made it, and it's... well, maybe not *better* but just as bad. Beverly Hills Cop III is one of the worst sequels ever pissed out. It's as comparable to the great first two films as a turd is to chocolate. The only good moment in this unwatchable mess was the cameo by George Lucas.

It's a bit too bad though that Judge R. took on this role and raped his own character with the poor caricature that this "film" turned it in. Murphy would do anything for money, but Judge... :\ At least John Ashton had the decency to refuse stepping in this crap. Or maybe he just was the only one who actually read the script and saw what a gigantic pile of s... the film would be.

A 4 point 7 rating? More like 2 point 47. It would perhaps deserve a 3 point 74 rating if the scenes with that horrible frog gay arm dealer, or whatever he's supposed to be - the most annoying character from BHC I, imported to BHC III - were completely cut.
