At the start of BHC II, Axel is talking to Bogomil (sorry if I mis-spelled that name) and Bogomil is cancelling their upcoming fishing trip. The characters are acting very buddy buddy; as if they had spent some time together between BHC I and BHC II. So, I am assuming that all the characters have kept in touch. During BHC III, when Axel arrives in Beverly Hills and stops and sees Billy, he has no idea what Billy's new position is or that Taggart had retired. He also never asks about Bogomil (who, if anyone remembers, was made chief of police at the end of BHC II). So what happened between BHC II and BHC III? Did they just forget all the crap that they went thru with each other and for each other?

I'm guessing the filmmakers couldn't lure Ronny Cox and John Ashton back to do III. That is unfortunate because the chemistry and magic the four characters had in the first two films was gone. It didn't seem as if Foley's character cared about the whereabouts of Taggart in III, not to mention him not asking about Bogomil. The screenwriters should have at least wrote something in to explain Bogomil's whereabouts.
