PLOT:
(Several years after the last film, Axel Foley(Murphy) has been promoted to captain at his precinct in the Detriot PD. However, Axel gets called back to Beverly Hills by his old friend, Billy Rosewood(Reinhold), who is now, himself, department Captain. He tells Axel that an unknown criminal organization is assassinating police officers left and right and that the late cop, John Taggart(Ashton) was the most recent to have been killed and that he needs Axel's help. Axel accepts, leaves Jeffrey in charge, and heads to BH. Thirsting for vengeance of Taggart's murder, Axel vows to find these guys and bring them down with the help of Billy, a female detective named Angie(Elise), and a comedic street cop named Curtis(Jackson). Together, these three tie the murders with an infamous African crimelord(Elba) and a rich L.A. industralist(Skarsgard), but are threatened to be put off the case by an egotistical ATF agent(Donovan). Axel also meets back up with Jenny Summers(Eilbacher), who took over Victor Maitland's art gallery. As Axel digs deeper and deeper into this case, he wonders why these killers would target BHPD officers and then go after Taggart, since he was retired. He and Billy begin to realize that there might be a connection with their new enemy and one of their old, and that he, Billy, Jenny, and Bogomil could be next in line for elimination.
