People say this was a terrible movie
but it wasn't any worse than the first two. Probably better than the second, actually. . .

shareO que?? what?? This was the worst with no doubts. Worst Eddie Murphy's representation that i ever seen in a movie. I really hope they can get a nice sequel to this one, the sequel to make justice of beverly hills cop name.

This film doesn't hold a candle to Beverly Hills Cop 2.
BHC3 is a mockery of itself, first of all. Second of all, it lacks three major elements that made the first two so good.
1) The Producers. The top notch producers from the first two BHC films wanted nothing to do with this. Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson are absent, and absent with them are their associated members of the crew (directors, cinematographers) that made the first two movies so good. Compare the producers from this movie and the first two BHC films and there's a gap big enough to drive a truck through.
2) The Cast. Taggart and Bogamill are absent. How can you remove two of the four most important cast members from the entire franchise and expect it to work out? In both of the first two films, Taggart and Bogamill were principal characters and essential to the film's formula for success. Take them away and the movie is HALF as good, if that.
3) The Music. Harold Faltermeyer is nowhere to be found. In his place... Nile Rodgers??? How can you possibly have a Beverly Hills Cop movie without the man who created the Axel F theme? Faltermeyer gives the first two films such a good flavor with his music. Rodgers fails miserably in his attempt to bring Foley into the 90s. A terrible shame.
Here's hoping Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be a successful and exciting reboot of the franchise, similar to what Casino Royale, Rocky Balboa and Halloween did for their respective franchises.
In fact, the next film should be called Beverly Hills Cop 3, with the suggestion that everyone forget that this film exists.
