Back in eighth grade, my school got chosen to go to Paramount's Great America, and be extras for the film for a few days. Anyone else there?? My friend singlehandedly made them reshoot a scene twice because he dropped his popcorn all over the place one take, and bumped into a sign the second take. Good times. For the scene where a kid is hanging out of that spinning cage ride, it was actually a midget stuntman hahaaaaaaa who had to hang out of that cage for a good 2 hours straight while they shot it.

Wow - that must have been cool to be on the set while the shot that scene.

I love that scene. I think they said in a Making of that the stuntman actually really jumped from one cabin to another on the big wheel - is that true?

Were you allowed to make photographs while being on the set?

yes the stuntman actually did jump!! it was the most exciting moment of the long, long 2 days of shooting. they were really strict about not allowing photographs sadly. i actually saved a pamphlet that they were handing out... it was a mock pamphlet for the amusement park called "wonder world." they had changed all the ride names and everything and made thousands of these pamphlets, just for the extras to be holding in the background. i ended up selling the pamphlet on ebay a few years ago haha for about $20. . . i wish i hung onto it

Must have been outstanding to watch the stuntman jump. Do you know if he had security ropes?

I'm not sure, but I think I remember they said in the making of he didn't even have wires... but I could be wrong.

Hey-I too was an extra on this film,I took a couple of days off of college to do it and it was filmed at Marriott's Great America. I was actually there last Sunday too! I remember for some reason being at the hotel with some of the production assisstants or something but for the life of me I can't remember why!!Eddie was really short...

In which scene were you in - can you give us a time index? Did you maybe take pictures of it?

And @goodfellow..., can you give us a time index where you can be seen in the movie, too?
