I think Mr. Hughes did write a sequel. It just never kicked off. It might be laying around somewhere though...
H2 isn't Michael. Sherlock Holmes isn't Sherlock. Atleast they've got Batman right
If there was a sequel written, yet never picked up, it would be interesting if in a few years they did make a sequel yet used one of the original actors as a father whos kid gets loose in China.
A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.
Now Baby Bink would be grown. So, he could be the father, whose child gets kidnapped for the same reason he did.
