I thought at first the reason the real nicole was given the wrong type of blood was because the person she was impersonating had been a patient there before and was already on file as having that type. That would have made it interesting, as she would have felt more responsible for her death.

And on a side close, when i thought about it later it kinda creeped me out he was hitting on his half sister--although not knowing that's who she was.

Thing is, though, that this was not an emergency surgery, so it's unlikely they would've just gone by Susan's medical information with the insurance company. And she had only been there a couple of months, so we knew from the start she likely had no file at the hospital.
