One four letter word ruined it for me:

Tess. I hated the way she talked down to the angels, Monica in particular. It was supposed to be loving but how anyone over the age of nine could tolerate, let alone appreciate being addressed as Miss Wings or Angel Baby is beyond my comprehension. Too bad, it would have been wonderful otherwise.

I loved the way Tess talked and Monica and Andrew loved her. Miss Wings and Angel Girl were sweet. I also loved the way she called people "baby". Tess was my favorite.

She was very sweet ?

I love Tess and you would hate me cause I call Monica. "Coffee Angel" lol

Yeah I also had the same feeling that Tess is somewhat condescending and a difficult person, or angel. But in the Bible Moses wasn't a likable person either :)

I adore Tess and so many others I know. Miss Wings and Angel Baby are terms of affection not insults. She didn't talk down to Monica she was teaching her.

We have a woman at church who reminds me of Tess. Not in looks since this woman is almost 80, thin and white but she has Tesss personally. She speaks so much like her too. When she speaks you listen. She loves everyone and very active. At her age she is still a home nurse. She is amazing.

My point is Tess is very love and motherly like. Everything she does is out love including when she is firm.

I wouldn't have minded Miss Monica Wings if she had ever used that name. It was rare for her ever to have a last name, but she did have one as a rookie cop in Trust (1995). I believe her name was O'Dooley in that one.
