Do you learn about the Angels?

Does it explain how they all died and became angels? Are there background stories on them instead of just helping people? I just ordered season 1 and wanted to know ahead of time.

I watched the show in the 90's once and awhile and just decided to get into the series since it was a interesting one. For me who would live or die?

I assume they were all humans at one point?

I only know one story where Monica is jealous that a young girl can sing and she can't and avoids helping the girl and gets Tess? really mad at her.

Orcas are the best.

They were never human. God created them as angels.

Are you sure?? Monica had a fear of water even as an angel, and I'm pretty sure she drowned in her human life.. Then got eaten by an orca..:)

I think monica was jealous of that girl who can sing because she can sing really, really good without trying. Monica on the other hand should never, ever be allowed to sing in public. It's well known on the show her character stinks at singing though she likes to try.

The Bible says angels are created by God as Angels. They are spirits, not humans. They can appear in human form if needed. The show follows this concept. There is an episode where we see an angel created named Gloria. She's an adult, a new angel.
