Maybe its because I'm British, I dont know but every episode when the angel appears and does her deep speach, I struggle to keep back the tears and get a lump in my throat. Its not feel good at all. Now I can handle that maybe once a month but I couldn't watch this regularly! It would destroy me! Is this show sponsored by prozac?!

I happened to catch it when I was having a rough patch. I sort of needed something to prime the pump.
But Della Reese is what sucked me in. And I liked John Dye. (R.I.P.)
Roma Downey was my least fave but I liked hee hair color and the way Della smacked her down.

shareI remember reading a magazine article back when the show was out and it said the show was very popular in prisons. The main message of the show they said was God loves you. The prisons were uplifted by that. No matter how sad or hard life gets you can cling to the joy that God loves you.

You are all respected for your opinions but this program saved my life and gave me hope when all hope seemed lost. It didn't run for 9 seasons because it was depressing. My mother, God rest her, loved this program and gave her great comfort during her last days. For all those who found the show depressing, upsetting and certainly not "feel good" there are even more who found the show uplifting, inspiring and encouraging. My life has never been the same and I give God the glory....as "Tess" would say...."it's a God thing".

My family has been going through a rough patch and this show helps keep my eyes on God. Plus it reminds me things could be worse. It keeps me going. It's a great show. Very uplifting.
It's a cheesy but heartwarming show. I love it! I'm English too.
shareI have the entire series on DVD and when I'm feeling down, I can pop in almost any episode and be uplifted and thank God for the blessings in my life. When the show ended, I stopped watching prime time TV. I only have Classic TV series on DVD now and my favorite of all is "Touched By An Angel".
