Yes Davids real name is David White but there was already one on Equity so he took the name of his twin brother who died at birth.

This isn't true. Although David's twin did die at birth, he was not named. David Jason chose his stage name at random.
David has given interviews where he has commented on this rumour, and he finds it very, very offensive, especially as interviewers often ask him about his deceased brother with no regard for his feelings on the matter.
So, according to David Jason himself, there is no foundation to this story.
