What's his real name?

I know Jack is not DI Frost's real given name, but only a nick-name (because of his surname) - but what's his real given name?

Okay, nimrod (I just couldn't resist saying that), his full name is given in the very first episode (Care And Protection) in the scene where DC Barnard finds the George Cross in Jack's desk drawer. He turns it over and there's Jack's full (proper) name engraved on the back. It's "William [?] Frost." I just recently watched that episode on DVD but can't recall if his middle name is Edward, as another member has stated. It could well be. I don't have the DVD at the moment, so I can't check.

No, in the books his real name is Jack Frost. It was changed to William Edward Frost, with Jack being a nickname, in the TV series.
