It's so hard to tell these days what director would be "good" for a particular film... It seems any Tom, Dick or Harry who directed a couple of music videos can get a contract to helm a film thrown at them today. Not that I'm disparaging music video directors--some great directors have started that way like David Fincher and Jonathan Glazer--but I'll give any new director the benefit of the doubt... Until they fall on their face, that is, and then it's open season to critically castigate them mercilessly.
