Neve Campbell's laugh!
I don't know if it's incredibly adorable or incredibly annoying. Has anyone else noticed her laugh?

shareYeah. I kinda like it, lol. Her voice is a little different too. Sort of "creepy-cute".

I've noticed it, and I saw the whole series in a marathon... and believe me, it becomes so excruciatingly annoying, that you flinge each time you hear it. She has this way of doing that little jump in her laugh, and while some may think of it as peculiar, it simply sounds arrogant and badly acted after you've heard it thirty times in one day. And it's not just the sound of it. The face she makes when she does the laugh looks so snobbish and condesending.
... Or something.
Scott Wolf made fun of her laugh in interview as well. He mentioned he could tell when it was real or "acted". I love both laughs no matter, I'm hooked on all the primary cast and even most of the support cast members as well.
shareThat's interesting. I became a fan of Neve's only recently and didn't watch Po5 when it was on TV. I was thinking of getting a Po5 season, probably the first. But if Neve's laugh is so annoying...I don't know. At the moment, I like her laugh. Maybe watching a whole season in marathon isn't a good idea, LOL! (OTOH, watching a season of 24 in marathon is great!!)
shareWhat I find annoying as I'm watching this series again is her habit of making abrupt pauses followed by a big breath in odd placed in her sentences.
shareAgreed! I just bought the first season on DVD and started watching tonight and man...watching her for consecutive episodes is too much. I can't tell if she's trying to convey nervousness or anxiety or fear, but that weird gasp thing she keeps doing along with the breathy laughter is getting annoying.
shareYup-it really annoys me too. I guess if we were just watching it as 1 ep a week, as it would have been shown, we might not have found it so annoying ;p

I'm glad others have noticed the gasp thing she does in the middle of her words/sentences. It was always something that I noticed about her. It is obviously the way she acts as opposed to having a particular character she is playing talk this way as I've seen it in other things she's been in - not just Pof5.
"Oh my God - it even has a watermark" (Patrick Bateman - American Psycho).
Yeah i am a huge Neve fan, she is the same in everything and i've seen alot. Everyone has their own style, ust like beyonce worbles way to much in most of her music.
I find it charming and cute, it's her trait though i can see why some find it annoying.
I'm not sure it's her acting though, it's probably more how she is in life. Cause she can't be like that 100% on camera and not in life.
The laugh however is probably more down to acting, especially if Scott said he could tell when it was real or not.
That said though it's not easy to convinsingly fake a real langh....try it go on. Unless your sandra Bullock and can just snort laugh.
Neve's laugh is one of the first things people will notice, that and her pauses. Can't remember what show it was but someone did an impression of it and it was funny.
All said she is good and has depth to her work, not many people today can claim that.
Anyway, her acting has been improved alot
Nevertheless, that's why I love her
btw she should do voice role in many animations
Sidney will die or not but I'd love to see Neve's mainstream films
