At the end of the episode when Jordan is telling Angela that they barely know each other and they mean nothing to each other is he trying to be an ass and hurt her feelings for not having sex with him or is he just that stupid that he doesn't realize how much of an ass he's being?
shareI think he was being totally sincere, in his kind of way, because what he said was true.
They didn't really know each other and had only met once. The way he came onto her is his way of chatting to girls to be his girlfriend, and she did not get that. Angela wanted the perfect guy, and when she replied to him, it was always nonchalant and without much meaning or care. Either she departed from the scene or he did, then there was the thought thing where she loved him and wanted to be with him. More of a fantasy crush than one she wanted to come into fruition.
So he's telling the truth, but I felt it was harsh and very blunt, as we are with Angela for the whole ride and actually feel what she is feeling. The hurt, anger and annoyance.
Though, thinking about it, if a guy makes several attempts to court a girl and she acts like she doesn't care, most would move on quite quickly similarly to Jordan
I agree, he was being sincere in that Jordan kind of way. He had no idea he was coming off as an ass.
I think he was trying to do what he thought she wanted. Angela was always throwing him off guard. He thought she liked him but then she didn't want to sleep with him. So then he thought she did not like him and he was trying to fix the situation for her. If you watch the series from an older point of view Jordan was always coming up to her and talking to her. Then he would get confused or insecure and hurt her. He was actually the most socially awkward of all of them but he hid it under a cool exterior. He never seemed to know what to do in any situation.

I just watched the first 3 episodes on Netflix..I had heard a lot about the series, so thought I would give it a look...commenting on that scene..I felt Jordan was trying to be cool and not let her know he was interested..she first said it was nothing...then changed her mind, but he realized she was not like the other girls who would have said yes right away..he is interested and it is far from over..and I do not know how this series ends.
