Is there anyone under 20 that watches this show on dvd or reruns today?

I'm 29 so could be in the "younger crowd" of people that watches My So called Life Today.

My boyfriend's niece is 14 and she loves the show but she found it because of her mom who is 36. It's one of my favorite shows ever and I'm 44 so I'm with the older crowd. I was around 26 when it came out and thought, "I'm way too old to be enjoying a show about high school." but it was a really good show. I got in on the first dvd set that came out. The BMG one that went out of print. I'm happy I got it but there are no extras on it like the newer set.

I first watched the show at 18. I'm now 23, but I am so happy I came across the DVD at my local Target and decided to give it a go.

I'm 18 going on 19 in a few weeks and watched this show when it came on Teen Nick back when it was The N (maybe 2000, 2001-ish). It's a great show. Too bad it didn't last. It was something special.

I'm feeling rough, I'm feeling raw, I'm in the prime of my life.

Hi, I'm a 14 year old guy and I watch it (ON EPISODE 5,so far). I found out about it from some girls' blogs since the 90's are everywhere now and so teenagers want to immerse themselves into the era's culture. I don't care much for the 90's revival, though I tried out the show and was hooked from the first ten minutes of the pilot.

It's really weird because I feel and understand almost everything Angela does, says and thinks. Gender differences are non-existent to me in these terms because the fundamentals of what is presented is the same for teenagers. I almost feel like I am one with the show, because I know friends with similar characters to that of Ray-Ann and Ricky, Brian and perhaps Woody.

I'm watching it online at the moment, and I think I will revisit the show in the future to see if my understanding changes or if I have the same affinity with it then. I have to say Ray-Ann is my favourite character because she's the most fun and hilarious and someone like her I would want to be with...all the time.

I'm so glad to see you guys enjoying the show. I'm older, in fact, when it aired I felt I was "too old" to be watching it. I was 26 but I fell in love with the show and to this day I'm still in love with it. I have the first boxed set that came out from BMG and I never get tired of watching it.

They have the boxed set on Amazon. You should definitely get it. I have the older one from BMG. They stopped making that one then a few years later came out with the one you can get now and it has bonus features on it.
I always thought everyone gave Patti too hard of a time. Yeah she's a little too up in Anglea's face but she's a mom and she loves her daughter and wants what's best for her. She has good intentions. She's a hell of a lot better mom than most. What's she supposed to do? Let Angela run wild? I know Rayanne's mom seems cool to everyone but I don't think she's that great of a mother. I think Rayanne would eventually get into big trouble. How do you think Rayanne will end up with no structure or discipline? I never saw her having a career.

I remember watching it back when it first aired in 1994, I was 17 or 18 at the time. It totally captured what it's like as a teenager, especially to be a teenager in the mid-90s (although most of the issues the show dealt with are timeless). I now own the DVD set and am slowly re-watching all the episodes. They still give me chills and blow me away. Claire Danes is just...well, there are no words. Her face, her eyes, her delivery, her emotionalism is just incredible to watch. Every time I watch My So Called Life, I feel like it's 1994 again and I'm back in high school because I swear it's the only show that captured - really captured - what life is like in high school. Everything about those relationships and different cliques and social interactions is so authentic. It really was amazing television.

Go scratch!
