Is this show still worth watching?
I saw it has Claire Danes and it has a killer imdb score. Worth watching in 2012 or is it a waste of time due to its cancellation?

HELL YES! The only reason I first bought this series was FOR Claire Danes! I was only 9 in 1994 when this came out so I never saw it or knew it existed! So last year I was buying movies with Claire in them and read about this TV show where she was the main character! It's now my fave TV show of all time! The whole show is great, the story lines, the characters the fashion and school life that is portrayed! It's actually real and shows what life is like for most teenagers. And teenagers in 2013 are going through the same things as they were in 1994 but in different outfits LOL!
Besides, even if there's a scene that's boring or not holding your interest...Claire's acting is fantastic and helps you get through everything that's going on, on the screen...she won a Golden Globe at 16 years of age for her work on "My so-called life" and you can see why!
It's worth getting!
Another thing...the show was not canceled because of low viewers...it was canceled because the producers didn't think you could build a TV show around an audience of just teenage girls (Oh how times have changed LOL).
Yeah you most definitely should!
Very realistic characters and storyline . Clair danes as Angelga really draws you in and keeps you wanting more every episode. Easily my favorite show of all time i would recommend this to anyone .
It will ALWAYS be worth watching. They don't make shows about teens like the ones on My So-Called Life anymore.

And except for the lack of computers and cellphones... teenagers and parents and high school teachers have not changed ONE BIT in this country since before this series (say the 70s) and now. The themes are still pretty fresh, especially for small-town America. This was an awesome show that can still be enjoyed by wide-range aged audience.
shareIt's absolutely worth watching! My favorite show of all time, without question (and I watch too much TV for my own good).

The show is definitely worth watching. I did not see it in the nineties, but I streamed it a couple of years ago on Netflix and loved it. In fact, this year I bought the boxed set and started re-watching it this week.
shareI've been looking for coming of age stories in television and came across Felicity and this around the same time. I went with Felicity first because I saw it was JJ Abrahms, and I hated it. The characters were horrible, the writing was bland and lame. So then I went to this, and what a difference.
This show is a lot more raw than I was expecting, and the characters are so believable No one ever says what they mean, every character is so real and flawed but likable. And I love Rayanne.
I agree about the characters being so superbly 'normal'.
In the early nineties I was watching things like Baywatch, 90210 etc and although I loved them they were far from 'real'. When Mscl came out I was hooked instantly!
Imo, I think to this day its one of the only programmes I can relate to and say "yeah I did that" or "omg that happened to me!" . It still makes me crazy thinking there's only 1 season......WHY DAMN IT WHY?!?!.....LOL
I also love Rayanne, I think all her flaws made me love her more, she was deffo a real human making real human mistakes.
