Anyone have the soundtrack? It's horrible!

Anyone else got the soundtrack? I bought it off ebay for a very large price as it's hard to get now...it's total *beep* It says on the front "Songs from AND inspired by the TV show"...only TWO songs are from the show! The theme song (Which includes Rayanne saying "Go now...GO" at the start, which is cool) and the song performed by the homeless girl in "So-called angels"...every other song is not in the show! There are a lot of songs I hear throughout the show and wanted them to be on the album, like the song you hear when Jordan takes Angela's hand in the hallway for the first time...IT'S NOT INCLUDED and they play that song a total of three times throughout the series! Massively disappointed in the soundtrack as nearly every song is crap with crap lyrics that don't represent the show or it's characters to me and most of the bands are sung by a male lead with a horrible voice!

reply

Yep, that's the reason I never bought it. I looked at the track listing and that song you mentioned when Jordan grabs Angelas hand in the hallway is not on there plus a couple of others I wanted so I didn't buy it. Looks like I'll have to look up the songs one at a time and make my own!

reply

Same! I checked out all the songs on the DVD listing and got them off the net so I was able to make my own soundtrack...SO MUCH BETTER than the real one ha ha ha! But it's the way it should have been!

reply

I *love* that song by Juliana Hatfield (homeless girl in 'So-Called Angels) ....

"Look and you'll find it. Someone wants to love you."

reply

Hey Grammar Nazi, you didn't properly quote "So-Called Angels". I know how anal retentive your are about spelling and grammar. So get this fixed!

reply

Ooooooooh SNAP, hotbody805! Ha ha

I bought it, back in the day. And then I bought Buffalo Tom's CD because I wanted the song "Late at Night"

reply

Did you like the MSCL CD?
What is Buffalo Tom's album like?

reply

Pretty sure I only listened to the Juliana Hatfield song on the soundtrack lol. I just looked at the track list and I feel like I would like some of those bands now, maybe I'll have to dig it out.
Also, pretty sure I only listened to the one Buffalo Tom song. I may have tried others but never got into it. That was nearly 20 years ago though so again, might have to listen again.

reply

LOL! That happens all the time with music! But yeah you never know, you might give it another listen and love it!

reply

Lol I did and it's in my basement with all my other CDs from the 90s

reply

Actually every song on the soundtrack except two tracks feature in the series.

A great mix of tunes to represent 90s suburbia

"If bulls**t was music, you'd be a big brass band"
