No UK TV Premiere for Book III

"North & South - Book III" didn't appear to get a prime-time premiere on British TV in 1994, unlike "Bks I & II" in the 80's. Infact "Bk III" was released directly to the video shelves in the UK.

Was this due to the lack of ratings it received in the US at the time???

Count yourself fortunate that you in the UK did not see the Book 3 miniseries. Books 1 & 2 are great miniseries but not 3.
