Why does Genie only appear in 2 scenes for Heaven and Hell? She played a more significant character in Books 1 & 2. And Billy isn't even mentioned in Book 3, let alone appear.
My guess for Genie appearing only twice is she wanted to take care of her son, which if I'm not mistaken, was born in the same year.

If I remember the book correctly (I read it so long ago), Jakes sent Billy and Brett off to California after the War ended, and they really made only a token appearance late in the last section of the book. I think there was a reunion of some kind of the family during the last 100 pages. As their story was pretty much tied up at the end of the second book, there almost wasn't any need to have either of them appear in the third miniseries at all.

I'm glad to know Billy and Brett had [almost] a dozen children. Do you remember the scene in Book 1 where Brett says her and Billy are going to have a dozen children? LOL
There is a need to have them appear in Book 3. For me. I miss them, dearly. lol.

Yeah, me too. The third movie was so horrible. I think I'll have to re-read the books after posting so much on this board. I hadn't seen the movies in years but got the entire box set for my birthday. I loved revisiting the Mains and Hazards, but the third movie, ugh. The only thing I liked was George and Madeline getting together.
