Stanley

This is just another thing about how north and south 3 doesn't make sence. I thought Stanley hazzard was about to take full responsibility for his crimes of selling defective cannons in the 2nd movie, which would mean his life is over, and would serve along time in jail. Now in book 3 he is running for mayor of his town and apparently is becoming successful in politics. Its like his whole cannon selling story line never happend. Drives me nuts... I just wish they never made part 3. It's like all the writers and producers never saw the 2nd film, or they are just plain dumb thinking we will except this story and include it among the others.

Yeah, I remember that in the second novel, "Love and War," Stanley and Isabel were arrested and sent to federal prison for a long time. Isabel was far worse in the book than she was in the movie, and she was pretty bad there. I too was shocked when they appear in the movie, "Heaven and Hell", no mention of prison or anything. And I was also shocked when he was getting so involved in local politics. If he'd been to prison, that would've been impossible.
