Am I the only one who can't stand this show?

The stupid opening song/credits.

The incredibly annoying use of the word "Pheebs"

The Phoebe character. (Supposed to be "quirky"...but instead is just annoying)

Chandler getting served up every single scripted funny line, to the point where every...single...thing....he....says....is...."WITTY".

All those 789 different posed pictures of the 6 of them hanging all over each other in those stupid....STUPID....POSED.....phoney....contrived....group photos, showing us just how close friends they all are....in various combinations of each of them draped all over each other in those "look how close we all are....look how much we care for each other"....weeny, stupid photos.

I could go on and on, but you get it. Are these people the most annoying people ever on a show?
I mean...we GET IT! You're all just such close friends! And just so quirky and witty! (barf)

What does it matter? There are plenty of Movies and TV shows i'll never watch (Friends included) because i know they suck. We have too little time on this earth to watch all the things we know suck just to confirm they suck.

I would guess the numbers that dislike the show are pretty low. Most really like it.

Guess again. “Must-See TV” was a comic cesspool till Cheers, followed by Wings, came on.

dude who even has the time to remember all these dumb terms. i never watched a tik tok in my life that shit has chinese spyware on it and is dumb. i have not used twitter or snapchat since 2014. best to give all that stuff up and travel the world enjoy life

i have been to over 50 countries and 6 continents, hope to go to them all once this virus bullshit paranoia goes away. gen-x is some fake news terminology that i dont have the time or patience to even try to learn and understand. non of those terms even make sense if u do try to learn them. im to busy living my best life to watch out and learn every new dumb thing the media comes up with

Yeah Boomers are born 1946 to 1966 or so. Friends was 1994. Maybe some 48 year-olds watching pretty young things in their early 20's. I didn't see too many commercials for denture creams.

Hogan's Heroes is better than 90% of prime time TV.
Everything by Carl Reiner and Paul Henning is better than this shit.

I didn't like certain characters in this show, mainly Ross, Joey, and Pheebs.

It was a passable comedy you could kill time with back in the day and it was always a serviceable back up plan on a date night when the club scene was too shitty and you wanted to kick back and watch TV on a Thursday evening with your date instead.

The show did have some detractors during its heyday though. One of the recurring criticisms was the show's lack of realism when it came to these guys having really cool Manhattan apartments but earning modest wages. Even back in the 90s it wasn't considered realistic

To be a little fair. Chandler clearly made a lot at his company. Ross worked for a museum as a scientist which I assume paid good. And Monica's apartment was cheap because of rent control with her grandma when she lived there. Not that it's still completely realistic, but Ross and Chandler at least weren't earning modest wages, and Rachel and Joey mooched off Monica and Chandler for a while.

this show is trash. i was stuck watching it sometimes as a kiddo since my dad was to cheap to buy cable. seeing it now gives me ptsd flashbacks of being a poor kiddo bored with the bullshit on tv. Just hearing the theme song to this show freaks me out and i feel a deep pit growing in my stomach filled with dread and depression. thank the lord i learned to pirate soon after and no longer deal with commercials or low quality programming like this anymore

the sopranos and trailer park boys are some good shows that are actually funny and fun to watch. pretty much any show is better than friends

Trailer Park Boys had a few good seasons and a few bad ones. But thanks for enlightening me with your superior viewpoints on what is not fake news. I will go discover this new comedy show called the Sopranos now.
