All the jokes you never got when you were a kid
Post all the lines you never understood when you were a kid and suddenly realised them when you're grown up.

Ok go ahead
shareI was 24 when this show came out so this doesn't really apply to me.
There was a thread a few years back started by someone from another country who didn't get all the pop culture references and sayings we had in the USA that were the basis of many jokes. They had quite a list of questions.
I forget most.
I've seen this with my teen daughter and I've filled in a few jokes.
I told her about Welcome Back Cotter and I showed her a picture of him so she could get the "look'n good Mister Cot-tair"
line.
I've told her there was this singing couple called Captain and Tennille and that he always wore a captain's hat. I think Joey wore it and Chandler asks him where Tennille is or something.
lol yeah I didn't get the Tennille joke either. I think they replaced it with Gilligan here.
Also the one with A-man-duh and when Monica calls Chandler Mr. Bigot, I didn't know what bigot meant.
They did that joke in the TOW the Football as well. I had to look up who they were.
shareLike someone else said, I was 25 when the show premiered, so there wasn't much I was too young to get. One thing I recall is I think someone asks Ross how long it's been since he last went on a date, and he says "Do the words 'Billy don't be a hero' mean anything to you?" I assumed it was some old song title, but I'd never heard of it in my life. Looked it up, it was song from the mid 70s. I remember plenty of songs from back then, but not that one.
