Ross and Elizabeth

God that relationship was creepy. He was her professor and like 15 years older than her! Did anyone else think that? I mean, she wasn't even 21. I could maybe (big maybe tho) see them ending up together if she were 21 and they could at least go to a bar before.

The semester was over. So she wasn't his student anymore.

Personally, I thought Richard and Monica was creepier. He's babysat her as a child, she's peed in his pool, and was a friend of her parents. The age difference in itself isn't bad. But the fact Richard has been around her since she was a child, and is friends with her parents to me, just crosses a boundary. Then creepier when Monica was tempted to date his son.

Ross and Elizabeth I didn't see as too bad. I thought they were kinda cute, but hate the way they decided to get rid of Elizabeth.

If you're gonna pretend to cut her hair, at least put some scissors in your hand!

Yeah, I remember Ross saying something like "I remember when you were just born and Richard was 21, he said "Gosh, I hope they end up together."

reply

Thank you! I didn't really like Ross/Elizabeth, but I absolutely hated Richard/Monica. I never once thought it was romantic.

reply

The best part of Ross/Elizabeth was her father Paul!

I didn't mind the Monica/Richard age gap but I wished that he wasn't a family friend.

reply

I thought Monica and Richard would actually be pretty cute together if they had just randomly met instead of her growing up around him. That just added a major ick factor for me.

reply

He wasn't her professor anymore.

Do you find Richard and Monica dating creepy too then?

reply

Yeah although Tom Selleck is nice to look at

reply

Not really. She was an adult and he was only in his 30s.

To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?

reply

Yeah they were both adults and he wasn't her professor so no I don't think two adults in a relationship is creepy. I don't know how 21 is a magic number where the creepiness suddenly turns off for you? Go to a bar before what? Are you saying people shouldn't be in a relationship unless they both can legally drink?

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

That's funny. Ross/Elizabeth or Monica/Richard. Which is more creepy?

I'd say R & E because she was still a kid. M & R seemed to have a good rapport and were pretty equal plus he felt comfortable hanging around her friends.

I agree. Ross and Elizabeth's maturity levels were vastly different. He had a kid for godsake. She seemed like she was immature and had different priorities. I'm just not sure why he was attracted to someone so young. Probably because she was so forward with him.

I'm not saying people who can't drink shouldn't be in an adult relationship, I was referring to the scene where Ross asks if she wants to grab a drink and she says she can't cause she's not 21. It just struck me as a little creepy and it was the first indication that they were in very different places in their lives.
