Maybe 'Anita' really did die...

I was just thinking the other day about the episode (I believe called "The Tape") where Anita's parents see a video of her and her boyfriend being...intimate and vice versa.

At the end, we hear Ellen saying: "Anita? I think she's dead!" That would explain her absence from the rest of the series. I know it's far-fetched to think that Anita would die of embarassment, but it's the kind of odd happening that could almost happen on "Ellen/These Friends of Mine."

Any thoughts?

Anita's father murdered her after viewing the tape. It was a fit of rage. He felt deeply sorry afterwards & killed his wife before taking his own life.
