Does anyone remember who played Paige Penny's parents? Also, what profession was Ellen's cousin, Spence, asked to leave before he moved to L.A.? And why in the world was this show cancelled, other than the obvious reason??
Paige's parents, or Audrey Penny's parents? Audrey's parents were Carol Kane and Barry Corbin. Don't know about Paige's. Spence was a doctor. And the obvious but sad reason is low ratings.

Carrie Fisher's mother is Debbie Reynolds. Also, even in the one scene where all Paige's mother does is cry on the other side of a door over how awful Paige's gift is, that's still Connie Stevens doing the voice. She must have a good sense of humor.
There's a very campy horror movie from 1965 that is great fun, and even though it isn't Oscar material, it showcases Connie Stevens' talent really well. It's called Two on a Guillotine. It's the epitome of the B-movie. Make sure you have popcorn.
