Favorite: Season 2

Least Favorite: Season 5

I love 2 and 3, but I do find 5 enitrely too topical for me and 4 getting there. The show was really light and funny for 4 years but then the 5th came along and it became too serious and thus it sufffered. it just does not fit in with other topical shows such as the golden girls, maude and mash. Will and grace was about a gay person and it was not topical. i think though that if it had been renewed for a 6th season it could have redeemed itself

Favorite: Season 2... I love the harmless fun of this season, with Ellen, Paige, and Adam.

Adam was funner than Spence, cuz he was such a schlub, lol.

Will & Grace? I never liked that show. It never seemed to be about gay people, just about parading a bunch of 2-dimensional stereotypes. Even the straight people were stereotypes of the sort of people who hang out with gay people. We never saw Ellen and Laurie in bed, but at least they talked about their sex life, and we knew they had one. I'll admit, I eventually gave up on Will & Grace, so maybe it got better, but Susan and Carol on Friends had a more real-world relationship, and they were just the punchline to what a shlub Ross is.

Favorite: 5

Least: either 3 or 1. In season 1 the show just hadn't hit its stride yet. Three was weird because it seemed that Ellen had no life of her own, yet there was no explanation for it, nor the little jokes that hinted at the character being closeted, like there were in season 4.

Favorite: Season 2. Least: Season 5

Though I agree with an earlier poster, it would have probably managed to settle down had it been given a 6th season. Sadly we'll never know. I really didn't get the need for switching between, the friends episodes and the wife and home episodes, it was like there was no flow to the series and they were trying to appease the homophobic element with "see it's still gay free every other week!". Oh well, that 2nd season and a good deal of the 3rd were really funny.
