Loved the show. Watched most seasons. The thing that slayed me though is that none of the main characters, one minor character and NONE of the patients, EMs, police, diner etc folk had a Chicago accent.
I've been watching Saturday marathons on Pop since early May and I cannot recall a Chicago accent, and I've been "looking" for one.
Who are some people with a Chicago accent? I'm not sure what it sounds like.
Dennis Franz has a strong one. Gary Sinese a mild one. The late Dennis Farina had one. Many others. In the film The Fugitive, while none of the stars did, many extras did.
Of course, not all Chicago born & bred have it, many do and you can almost always tell.
