What happened to Susan's neice?

I saw the ending of an episode where Susan was talking to a detective in NYC saying that Susie was missing and could be anywhere in the city. I watched the episode as a re-run on TNT and didn't get the chance to see the next episode. Did they find her? When did her sister mess up her life again? I really hope a streaming service will pick up this series so I can finally watch the later seasons.

Sadly, the episode was Part 1 in a crossover with the tv series THIRD WATCH, which had Part 2. They find Chloe in some building. She's back on the drug wagon, due to her failed marriage ("He broke my heart!" she replies, although the ex attests that Chloe was already failing with her demons). Susan gives her usual disgust. However, shortly after, Chloe and little Susie run away. To my knowledge, we never find out what happened to them.

Thanks for responding. I had always hoped that Susan would be able to find her niece and take care of her. Kathleen Whilhote (sorry if spelled wrong) always played mixed up characters.

This is why I'm so pissed that Third Watch season 3 is not available. I would have loved to have seen the outcome of this story. But Third Watch season 3 is not available to purchase, and it's not in syndication anymore.

If I remember correctly in the er episode "The Letter" Susan gets a phone call that Chloe is in rehab and Susie is with Joe. I did catch the Third Watch episode if you want to know who kidnapped little Susie.

That's good to know; guess I was too concerned with the major plotline to have noticed.

Thanks for filling us in on this plot. I miss watching this show.
