Did she really end up with HIV? Its been a while since I seen the episode but I thought she got it from the guy she was operating on, maybe she ended up having HIV.

If you're talking about Jeannie, she got it from her ex-husband. She was a PA, so even at her most intensive, in real life medicine, she never was really at risk to infect anyone (despite Weaver worrying and scheming over it in fiction).

I think it was Cleo who had a scare from getting cut and then being exposed to an HIV+ patient's blood, but she turned out negative.
