deletion of words from pilot episode

I recently got the Canadian version of all "four" seasons, where the pilot is placed on the third season dvd.

There are a few words taken out, compared with the pilot I taped from TNT's run a few years ago. It is where Fraser tells the local native he should "tell someone." The dvd cuts to "he didn't do anything, and neither will you." Anyone know what was so politically offensive about the comments that were taken out?

i agree i bought the complete box set from play.com and i watched the promo trailer for the polite and in that when ray is in hospital the doctor tells Fraser that ray has some serious burns and broken ribs and that's not in any of the ones i have and i have 3 copies of from different places. anyone else see that.

i just saw the pilot and i noticed that as well, i liked that scene just for the look onm frasers face when he realised how he could be responsible at least indiretly for his friends wounds, which makes helps him make up his mind to go back to canada
