Canadians
Are they really that polite and sexy?
"Oh, but 'Baby Fishmouth' is sweeping the nation!"

I'd say that's a big no, except that I live in Montreal, where we get tons of American tourists and sadly, in comparison, we are... At least on Crescent st.
Man I wish! If only every Canadian guy could be a Benton Fraser, but sadly most Canadians are nothing like that.
I mock you with my monkey pants!
Oh, yes. Yes we are. And we are modest too.
Thank you kindly.

Well, I live in a medium-sized town near the border, so I'm not sure.
But then again, being that close to the U.S. border has to have some influence on us with American culture.
I'm sure there could be some somewhere...just have to find them I guess? *laughs*
Well, I used to live in FL, which is probably THE place for "snowbird" tourists, and the Canadians were consistently the most polite and best-looking. Take from that what you will.

Oh yes, nothing looks better than a pale fat old guy in a speedo.
That is such a stereotype!!
Maybe, but you've seen the pictures. Stereotypes are based on fact.
I am a Canadian who's been living in Florida for the past 9 years. Yes, there are a few that do that but to be honest, I can't remember the last time that I saw one. It's not like a majority of Canadians in Florida wear speedos... most wear swimming trunks or shorts. Pictures will only show what the photographer wants you to see... they are hardly the whole picture
hey carmela... I have seen a few that sort of fit the description that was used for canadians but 2 out of 3 turned out to be american so what can I say.
Im canadian - have a place in north coast florida, arizona and california. I also have a house in Toronto, outside Calgary and in the Yukon...
Why do people always try to pidgeon hole us like this.. Its wasted on me maybe their jealous??
Oh well - ps I hate the site of speedos?? on anyone..
Just so there's no misunderstanding, I'm also Canadian. What can I say, I know the people I see heading for Florida each year and they aren't buff college students... Maybe it all depends on which city/town/beach you happen to frequent.
I'm a Canuck chick living in a VERY touristy city (right near Butchard Gardens) and a lot of people (especially me and my friends) are very polite to tourists, you know 'do onto others' and all that.
Serenity for all
I wouldn’t mind seeing Paul Gross in a spedo haha joking
shareI think the character in this show is just a small part of what Canadians can be.
I love this show.. I am Canadian..
I am a nice guy..
Ya sure.. I'm far from the character in this show.. yet I have some of the traits he has..
A great show a great character... I still watch it.. when I can.
Reason can answer questions, but imagination has to ask them.
Actually, Lavolanges, I meant out of all the young hard-bodies vacationing there while on spring or summer break. College students are generally obnoxious tourists, but, as I said, the Canadians were consistently the most polite and best-looking. And most of the time, the only people wearing speedos on the beach are bodybuilders.

also by the way - I am constantly told that I am an idiot for apologizing even when I dont have to, being colour blind when others are not, and giving something extra away when someone tried to mug me but I didnt need it and they did so I gave it away. I also found out who they were and tracked them down and dropped off more groceries for him/her and her mom and 3 kids not all theirs. I have kids and they have no need for my $ any more as I have given then everything they need to start a safe life and there is nothing more to do with the rest so why not give it away to whom ever I want to..

shareI was in Vancouver last spring for 3 weeks and i definately saw some hot guys. Plus, my brother in law is from there and though i can't comment on the sexy part (coz that would be gross!), he is without a doubt the politest person i know.
shareThe small town that i live in yes they are that polite, but not nearly as sexy as Benton Frasier!
A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat!
I spent a year studying in Vancouver (I'm from England) and definately found the Canadians very polite and friendly. While not as over the top as Fraser, they were politer than back home. I want to move back.

All I know personally, is that I have visited Vancouver three times, and each time met some great people and had a wonderful time. I would visit again.
That's what we need - ridiculous odds, and just a speck of hope that someday, we'll beat it
