why isnt this movie in the top 250 with such a good rating?

Because not a lot of people know about it. It's a shame. The Wrong Trousers has to be THE BEST animated short EVER MADE.

Shorts arent eligible. Otherwise this would have a pretty decent place in the 250.

yeah, it would be between 32nd and 42nd (as the list stands now)

Actually in 1996 this movie was number 4 on the list. The other two were a little higher on the list but this made number 4 (now overtaken by The Seven Samurai).

wow Trainspotting and Star Trek first contact were up there. That surprises me but that goes to show you how films plummet down the list throught time
