Speaking of "The Wrong Trousers"...I have been asking this question ever since I first watched "The Wrong Trousers" on PBS in NY, so perhaps you fellow W&G fans can answer it for me:
When did penguins become the thugs of the animal kingdom?
Think about it, people; you have Chilly Willy from the Walter Lantz series, which was shown along with the Woody Woodpecker cartoons, torturing that poor bear. There's Tennessee Tuxedo and his idiot sidekick Chumley the walrus, always scamming to escape the zoo on some get rich quick plan (and what the hell do penguins need money for, anyway? Did they go to the same school as Wyle E. Coyote, with his ACME credit mail order account?). Now, we have Feathers trying to pinch jewels from the British Museum and the penguins of Madagascar, hijacking ocean freighters, rebuilding airplanes and ambushing innocent people. Thank goodness for "Happy Feet".
