How scary is Feathers McGraw?!

OK, I feel a bit silly even writing this.

I was quite a tough child and wasn't scared of any film villains, even the Child Catcher on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But for some reason, Feathers McGraw really freaked me out... I don't know what it was... maybe the silent evil of it all, but he just sent shivers up my spine. Maybe it was his piercing little eyes, or the way nobody except Gromit noticed his evilness... or it could have been that one sudden look straight at the camera when Gromit is hiding from him in the dog food box in the street... I don't know what it is, but he really used to scare me!
Does anyone agree with me, or was I just a wussier child than I thought?

I doubt. Therefore I might be.

It's the music that he listens to. Just plain evil...

No seriously, it's how he says nothing and never shows any expressions but in the next moment does something wierd. People like that are the most creepy since you never know where you're at.

Haha I think he could definitely win a prize for "Most Sinister Villain" or something to that effect!
I think another thing that makes him scary is the fact that he only needs to put a rubber glove on his head and everyone is completely fooled into thinking he's a chicken! He must have some sort of mind-controlling powers, surely...

Something simple, something amazing... www.lost.eu/eeb8

I was in my thirties when I first saw this, and "That's one creepy liitle dude" was running through my mind the whole time....

"Remember me, Mr. Schneider? Kenya, 1947."

You know what, i totally agree with you. There is somthing about him that isn't quite "all there". Over the years I've just accepted the fact that he is a creepy little guy. It is kind of funny that the character that have no lines could terrify us more than those who speak.haha
