**POSSIBLE SPOILER** Think I might be confusing two movies, please help

**POSSIBLE SPOILER**

I saw the second half of movie that was either called When a Stranger Calls or When a Stranger Calls Back. I saw it on TV and I think one of them is a TV movie and the other is a film movie. I would like to see the movie again but I don't know which one to see. Can you please tell me which version has the scene I will describe below? I saw the recent remake of When a Stranger Calls and the scene I want to see was definitely not in it.

The movie I want had one of the most unexpected endings I have ever seen. A woman is in an unlit apartment and the killer is calling her name but she cannot see him anywhere, somehow she is knocked out and a detective then enters the apartment. The detective then starts shooting at the walls of the apartment and you see that the killer was standing in front of a wall, but could not be seen because he had painted himself the exact pattern of the wall. I LOVE THAT SCENE!!!!

If the movie with this scene was the TV movie, did this scene also occur in the film movie? (I am making the assumption that the TV movie was based on the film movie.)
