At first I wondered why Julia didn't say that the phone was not working, then of course it hit me a second later, that one wouldn't want a strange man knowing the phone did not work.
I would have come up with something less obvious than what she said. I would have said that someone was on the phone, etc.
That's just me nitpicking for fun...:)

that would have put a spin on that guys plans though if Julia lied and said something completly different like I am on the phone. He still would have still taken the kids but I wonder what he would have said for a response if Julia lied and said she is using the phone or something different then what he expected.
