Am I the only one who would be interested in seeing a continuation of this story with the kids as adults? Seeing where they ended up and how they turned out... Maybe Gilbert and Becky got married... Maybe Arnie made it to adulthood, still horribly delayed and Gilbert & Becky have to take care of him.... Maybe rebooting that role would finally get Leo an oscar...

Arnie DID make it to adulthood! He was just shy of 19 at the end of the movie.

Semantics. You know what I mean. Like, middle aged adults - Leo and Johnny playing the characters at their own current ages.
