He was my favourite character, no mistake about that. However, There are a few things I want to know about him. Was he Makai or an evil super human like Niki? Does he appear in the other overfiend films? Does his name have a meaning?

He was only in the first Legend Of The Overfiend story. He was the leader of the Makai, not their king but more like a royal consort of the queen, who is obviously the real ruler of the Makai but is never shown. He was very powerful but he he was injured by Amano in the 1920s which dramatically reduced his magical power levels. In the manga, he is a little bit more detailed in his origin, but the anime basically got him right. Even with his magical injury though, he was still a very strong fighter and wizard, still worthy of favor by the queen of the Makai, despite his failures.
