Why is Nikki so weak?

I mean, he's supposed to be the anti-Chojin and his powers though definately making him dominant over humans, were quite frankly pathetic compared to Nagumos and Ozakis.

Why is Ozaki stronger than Nikki?
All Ozaki did was lick a drop of blood from Nagumos face, thus becoming the were-hyena and slaughtering a whole squad of makai in seconds.
Nikki on the other hand recieved a makai penis turning him into a super strong human, then Nagumos semen and blood. I would have expected him to turn into some sort of demiGod creature, yet he became little more than a niusance to Nagumo. In fact, he was no more powerful than an ordinary Makai.

Nikki in the manga is stronger than the way he was in the anime motion picture. I guess they didn't want to waste time with a fight scene when they could waste time with a sex scene. The story in the anime is similar to the story in the manga series, but the story in the manga is better because they go into more detail with the main characters. In the anime, the story is good, but the plot needs to be swiftly shown for the audience, so you wind up with mediocre fight scenes in order to get to the sex.

Interesting. How is Nikkis character treated in the manga?

He is basically the same except they go into more detail with his parents being abusive drunks and you see how much the gang bullies him and others in the school. Akemi knows him and she likes him, but only as a friend. He is secretly madly in love with Akemi and he wishes she could be his girlfriend. When he finally gets the courage to ask her out, Akemi tells him that he's a very attractive boy but she just doesn't have sexual feelings for him like that. When he sees her kissing Nagumo, he becomes infuriated. He doesn't understand why Akemi would want Nagumo instead of him because Nagumo is just as much of a nerd as he is. It makes no sense and he becomes despondent. Then the gang of bi-sexual vamps come along and mistreat him just like in the movie. And they humiliate him by using him like a slave, teasing him with lesbian sex shows, but refusing to let him participate. When he tries to relieve himself by pleasuring himself the leader of the clique emasculates him by saying it's no wonder that Akemi doesn't want you. She embarrasses him by laughing at his genitals and then claims that Nagumo is a better man than he'll ever be. His envy and jealousy of Nagumo flares into murderous hatred. He thinks about how much of a b i t c h his mother and these women are, and he thinks about his father calling him a punk who will never be a real man. Then the girls continue on and they destroy the piece of Akemi's bookbag that he held and he grabs it with tears in his eyes and he says, "I wish you you were all dead." And then, the Majin(demons) suddenly appear and kill all of the girls. Just like in the movie they offer him power in exchange for human lives. He goes about like he did and then fights Nagumo as Overfiend, and the battle lasts for a while. Then Nikki escapes and returns disguised in human skin. He attempts to kill Megumi, Kuroko and Amano but they are able to drive him away. He then fights Nagumo again and this time the battle takes them toward a factory. The battle ends similar to the way that it ended in the movie but it took Akemi to distract Nikki. She asked him why he did what he did and told him that she understood that he had anger because of his detestable parents, but she was his friend and just because she didn't want him as a lover doesn't mean that she didn't still love him anyway. Hearing that brought Nikki's human mind back into dominance. It was enough of a distraction to cause Overfiend to fatally injure Nikki. And then Nikki slowly transforms back into his human form. He apologizes to Nagumo and especially to Akemi. Tearing up, he told her that he never meant to hurt her but he couldn't help it. Amano, Megumi and Kuroko realize that this poor pathetic boy was nothing more than a pawn in a Makai scheme. Crying,Akemi then holds Nikki and tells him, "I know it wasn't really your fault. It was what they did to you. I don't hate you." Nikki smiles at her and then he dies in her arms. And that's it. A sad end to a sad life.

Wow, now they had added those details in the film, Nikki would have been so much more likeable as a character. I must say, I was quite moved by the ending.

Yeah it was really messed up. It's just like Ozaki. In the movie they just made Ozaki seem like a forgettable jerk, butin the comic he was actually a lot more three dimensional. He actually does a lot more with Nagumo than what was shown. They kinda hung out and Nagumo would try to learn how to be a player from him. Ozaki was still a jerk but he wasn't above taking Nagumo to a strip club. The movies are good but they leave out so many good parts of the story it feels like they cut a lot out. I guess they had to. I mean, they couldn't show everything. They could only cram what they could from 3 years worth of comics into the movies. If they were going for total accuracy, they couldn't make movies about it. It would have to be episodes in a series. And I'm talking seasons. Besides, one of the good things about the movies is that the demons look better. In the comics, they all looked like humanoid lizards but in the films they are so varied it rocks. Another thing is the art is better overall and it's color. And furthermore, the ending is better because in the original manga, the ending is so short and to the point it's disorienting. The manga and the anime have their good points and their bad points. If you pick up the manga in comic book shops, you can compare the differences.

I'm not really a fan of the Manga, to be honest. I found it was a lot more lewd than the anime and the characters unlikable. Also, from what I've read of the ending, it was very disappointing when compared to Urotsukidoji I's version.

I had a lot of sympathy for Niki, due to how Akemi chose a moron like Nagumo over him, plus the bullying. It really shows how far he had been pushed ashe decided to emasculate himself.

I agree with your sentiment though, it was strange how Niki consumed both Nagumo's blood & sperm yet appeared to be weaker than Ozaki, who had only swallowed the blood. I could make some nonsense up that the strength is determined by the strength of the individual's spirit. Niki had become strong but he was probably still a frail little boy deep down.

Dont forget he also had a 'power penis'. It's so strange, but then again I guess Makai empowerment is decided by factors other than quantity. Perhaps sex life is a determining factor?

If you're trying to play hard to get, play harder! I like it rough!

Actually, Niki only had the demon phallus in the cut version. Just like in the manga, in the uncut version, the phallus eventually melts away. Angry at the Majin, he demands to know why his powers were taken. The demons explain that the power was only temporary. He must take more lives to continue its existence. Or, if he wants to have more power on a permanent basis, he needs to feed on the Overfiend's sperm or blood. That's when Niki attacks Akemi and licks the sperm off of her face, restoring his monster penis and gaining new powers. The cut version never shows when Niki lost his demon phallus, so it gives the impression that he still had it.

Remember Ozaki only faced a couple of demons. Niki had to face the all powerful Overfiend. Ozaki wouldn't have stood a chance against Negumo.
