What exactly did the Chojin want to create?

In the first film, the chojin stated that he released the demon of destruction because he was disgusted by how the three worlds turned out (snivelling pervy humans, sadistic rapist makai and imperialistic JiujinKai)and that he would recreate a world of love and peace. Fair enough, but then again in the unreleased fifth film, the chojin turned out as seemingly yet another fornicating demon. What the hell happened? Had he been corrupted?

Whew... how long have you got? By the way, I certainly wouldn't call the Jyujin imperialistic. They appear to be quite amoral and voyeuristic. Although we can only use Amano & Megumi as our examples, since we don't get too much of an insight into the other Jyujin.

As for the Chojin's plan in Urotsukidoji I, it depends which version we're going by, because the Perfect Collection is different to the dubbed version. The dubbed gives the impression that Chojin is going to destroy the world and then sprinkle it with new, benevolent Humans. Yet in the Perfect Collection, he says that he will destroy the world, then rebuild it as is, but people will love one another. I suppose he intends to show people what happens when they're immoral, and therefore teach them a lesson before restoring their worlds. He also says he'll restore his parents (Akemi & Nagumo) to normality once their purpose is fulfilled.

The Chojin in Udoji III & IV, is where the writers seemed to get a little offbase. Due to his premature birth, he wasn't very powerful but didn't return to the womb either because he couldn't or he chose to stay awake while the threat of Caesar/Myunihausen/Kyo-Oh loomed. Udoji IV then gives the impression that the Chojin needed Kyo-Oh all along, despite NO mention of them having a symbiotic relationship (quite the contrary) in the previous movies. So Chojin consumes Kyo-Oh's menstrual blood, releasing an engulfing light. Amano discovers this has either reset time, OR rebuilt the world. The ending is rather ambiguous.

NOW, in the Udoji IV Alternative Ending, it turns out the Chojin seen in Udoji III & IV (the one who looks like Nagumo) is infact the King of Makai, who took his appearance in order to trick Kyo-Oh into coming, so that he could steal her power. So the real Chojin is still within Akemi's womb, and is born in Udoji V. This Chojin is an androgynous one which tells Amano that he will use a race of androgynous warriors (that come from his phallic ship) to wipe out the remnants of the three races. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back for Amano, who then proclaims he is the enemy of the Chojin. It's a shame it was cancelled... it had potential.

I do wonder though, if Chojin was originally just judging Humans, why did he create the other two realms? The Jyujin - 'those who are superhuman', and the Makai 'those who can never be human', as Chojin puts it in the Perfect Collection.

I hope that helps some!

Wow, that was very interesting, though it really just goes to show how disorderly the production behind the making of these films was.

Was the unreleased number 5 meant to be a continuation of the saga or was it a direct sequel to the first film?

Yeah, Urotsukidoji V follows on from Udoji IV's alternative ending, hence why they added the alternative ending in the first place. Although its style is indeed more along the lines of the original Legend of the Overfiend. But it's animation is poor at times, with missing frames. I forgot to mention that Chojin's soldiers in Urotsukidoji V also possess the power to make the three races mindlessly kill one another. Amano himself is possessed at one point, joining in with the bloodshed, until he's snapped out of it by Megumi.

There's also an edited version of Urotsukidoji III & IV called 'UROTSUKIDOJI MOVIE VERSION 2' that was only released in Japan. Apparently it's a poorly edited version with a theme that Buju & Hime/Kyo-Oh are never separated. So the scenes where Buju is in Caesar's palace etc are cut.

I wish that I could've seen the original part five.
