As you know, in Urotsukidoji part 1, the Overfiend destroys the world. And in part 2, it shows the lead-in to the coming conflict in the future with Myunni Hausen's older, future self.
Now, in part 3, at the end, Akemi gives birth to what is called the true Overfiend, the Osaka Chojin. Apparently, this child was born prematurely, as he is the Order that will unite the three worlds, and Nagumo(or rather, what's left of him) is still rampaging as the Chaos, the Overfiend. However, an unforeseen extra variable has been discovered. There is a new magical being named Himi who is really the prophecied order that will unite the three worlds, making people question the legend, and now many wonder what the hell is going on. If Himi is the Osaka Chojin, and if the Overfiend is the chaos, then what the f--- did Akemi Ito give birth too? What the hell did Overfiend impregnate her with? Also, apparently the leader of the Demon-Beasts(the Makemonos, hybrid offspring of demons and man-beasts) and also the most powerful Demon-Beast, was made stronger when Himi gave him a magical sword. This psychotic Makemono is named Buju. He was a rapist, robber and murderer who was suddenly forced to serve Himi. He and a woman named Alektor fell madly in love with each other and Alektor became pregnant with his child. From what it seems, Alektor may be pregnant with some kind of "new hope" for the human race.
Now, in part 4, at the end, Buju, along with several other survivors of the war between everyone on Earth versus the Overfiend, including Amano, run into a small section of Japan that is ruled by two extremely powerful mutant psychics. The psychics are insane, and they force everyone in their town to remain as children in order to preserve their "innocence" because all adults are "evil". At first, the group of survivors thinks that the kids are no big threat to them, but when Amano tries to help a teenaged couple escape the town controlled by the psychics, the psychics trap them and torture the couple. Sickened by the violence, and also finding out that Myunni Hausen is back, along with Sui-Kaku-Jyu's sister, an all-out battle against the Overfiend and the psychics ensues, resulting in everyone getting their butts kicked. In an act of desperation, Himi finally unleashes her magical powers at full force, reincarnating the universe. The only survivor of the old universe is Amano himself. Everything and everyone else, however, has become changed. Amano sees the world as it once was, like in part 1, and doesn't understand what the hell just happened.
After this, there was an attempt to create a part 5, with the Overfiend being revealed to be a "false" Overfiend, and that the "real" Overfiend was a dual entity, some kind of creature that was both male and female, a god and a devil, both good and evil. It was cancelled, unfortunately, and it got shelved mid-way through production.
Later, an all-different, all-new version of Urotsukidoji was made in order to revamp the old story into a modern update. This was a reimagining/remake/retelling of Legend Of The Overfiend. Yet, simultaneously, it can be considered a kind of continuation story just as well, as the story takes place in the new reincarnated universe. So in a way, it's like a sequel/spin-off of the original Urotsukidoji, but also like a new part 1.
Well, that's it. Hope you liked it. It was f---in' convoluted as hell, but at least now you know what's up. Peace.
