True, because theres tons of live-action tentacle-porn out there (besides eel-porn).

They're allowed to show extreme violence with blood and guts galore, but nudity/sex isn't allowed. Strange.

I say show extreme violence with blood and guts galore, in a sexual context. Even with the censorship these guys still push the limits of sexual violence.

(things we'd need or wouldn't need) I'm against CG, real sex only, and a devil worshiper to summon(SP?) the monsters.

(Any ideas are weclome.)

Haha you're crazy, but it's a good idea. And how the hell would you remake this without at least some CGI?

With robots and stop motion. I'm not really sure how I'd dow without using ANY CG, but I'd like to avoid using it as much as possible because I feel it ruins films.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you completely. I prefer physical-makeup\FX over CGI 10 fold, and watching the original Robocop the other day I have to agree I probably prefer stopmotion to CGI as well!

I don't mind it being used in a subtle way to improve a scene where you don't actually notice CG has been used.

But for Urotsukidôji, specifically, how could you make some of those effects without CG and make them convincing by today's standards? (like the end of the world for example). I'd be interested to hear some ideas!

I guess it would actually make one kickass low-budget horrorporn flick.

I'll think of something sooner or later, don't you worry.

BTW, I agree that the only time CG looks good is when you can't notice it. I recently saw the film "The Devils Rejects" and aparently it has a lot of CG in it but I didn't notice, THAT's the way it should be done. But it seems like nowadays films use SO much CG that it's impossible NOT to notice it. I prefer make-up much more.

Devil's Rejects used CG?!?!? I've probably seen that flick 4 or 5 times and never noticed. Maybe I did I can't remember!

That's exactly what I mean! I listened to Rob Zombie's commentary and he says there is a LOT of CG in it, but to me CG is done well when you don't notice it. i.e. if you watch a film and think to yourself "the CG was amazing", it wasn't really THAT good because you KNOW it's CG. I'd be amazing CG if it blends in with the rest of the film without standing out.

in The Devil's Rejects most of the blood and gore was CG. like when Rob Zombie's wife threw that knife into the lady's chest at the hotel.

Stop motion is far too outdated. Particularly if you were to film the scene with the Overfiend destroying buildings with his 20 storey penis. I'd imagine that would require a great deal of effort to be convincing.

But the sex and demon rape scenes using puppetry would be quite easy and would no doubt result in more assured performances from the actresses. I'm sure they'd be able to capture harrowing pain/ecstasy more effectively when being molested by a latex tentacle than having to make-believe in front of a green screen.

That's an idea! Make a Thunderbirds-like version of Urotsukidoji using puppets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
